Aluminum alloy is a general term of aluminum-based alloy. Aluminum alloy has low density but high strength which is close to or higher than the quality steel, it has good plasticity and easy processing, and can be processed into various profiles. Due to its excellent electric conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, after adding different alloying elements, it can produce casting aluminum alloy with good casting property or wrought aluminum alloy with good processing plasticity.
所谓异型材就是横截面是非圆形的挤出塑料制品称为塑料异型材，除了圆、方、板外的型材，如瓦楞、槽、T形等。塑料异型材就是以塑料为主才(如夹铁皮)的异型材，广泛使用于建筑装修等行业。
异型材有两种，一种是全塑料异型材，另一种是指塑料材料和非塑料材料复合而得的复合异型材。
按异型材的软硬程度分，可分为软质异型材和硬质异型材。按塑料品种分类可分为:PVC异型材，ABS异型材，PE异型材等，其中大多数是PVC异型材。
按异型材的截面特征，可分成异型管材、中空异型材、隔塞式异型材、开放式异型材、分节异型材、镶嵌异型材、实心异型材7大类。
